Unicode to SutonnyMJ: Using the Converted Text
SutonnyMJ is the most widely used Bijoy font, and it cannot display Unicode Bengali. That is why text typed in Avro or copied from a website will not take the SutonnyMJ font. Convert it to Bijoy first; the result displays correctly in SutonnyMJ and other MJ fonts.
- Text shows as English letters (like “Avwg evsjvq”)? The SutonnyMJ font is not applied. Select the text and choose SutonnyMJ from the font list.
- SutonnyMJ not in your font list? It is installed with Bijoy Bayanno. To add it to another computer, install the font file there; on Windows, right-click the .ttf file and choose Install.
- Sending the file to someone else? They need SutonnyMJ installed too. Otherwise export it as PDF so the Bengali looks the same everywhere.
- Posting on Facebook, a website or in email? Keep the text in Unicode there. SutonnyMJ text only reads correctly where that font is installed.
Want to check the result first? Turn on “SutonnyMJ font” under View settings to preview it right here.

Convert PDF, Word and Excel Files
Upload a file instead of copying text. It is converted in the direction you have selected (Unicode → Bijoy or Bijoy → Unicode), entirely in your browser.
- PDF (.pdf, up to 15MB): text is extracted from every page and converted. The PDF must contain selectable text; scanned PDFs are images and have no text to convert.
- Word (.docx, up to 10MB): text and paragraphs are extracted and converted; download the result as a new Word file.
- Excel (.xlsx, up to 20MB) and CSV (.csv, up to 10MB): every text cell is converted and rows and columns are kept; download as Excel or CSV.
- Text (.txt, up to 5MB): the whole file is converted; download as TXT, DOCX or PDF.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert Avro text to Bijoy?
Type or paste your Avro (Unicode) text into the input box and it is converted to Bijoy instantly. Copy the output, paste it into your document and set the font to SutonnyMJ or another MJ font.
Why does the converted Bijoy text look like English letters?
Bijoy text is stored as ANSI characters, so without a Bijoy font it shows as Latin letters such as “Avwg evsjvq Mvb MvB”. Select SutonnyMJ or another MJ font in your editor and it displays as Bengali.
Can I convert Unicode to Bijoy offline?
Yes. The converter works as a Progressive Web App (PWA). Install it from your browser and it keeps converting without an internet connection. Conversion runs in your browser, so your text is not sent to our servers.
Does it work with Bijoy Classic and Bijoy 52 (Bayanno)?
Yes. The output uses the standard Bijoy ANSI encoding of SutonnyMJ and the other MJ fonts, the same encoding used by documents typed in Bijoy Bayanno (52), Bijoy Classic and Bijoy Ekushey.
